GIGABYTE, a leading manufacturer of motherboards and graphics cards hosts another Secret OC gathering, set out to create the standard for Intel’s new 10-Core Processor. Intel has recently launched its newest i7-6950X Extreme Edition Processor, this processor is the first 10-Core Processor on the market for consumers in the enthusiast segment. Seven overclockers from around the world participated, GIGABYTE’s senior overclocker HiCookie, in-house overclocker Sofos, Team AU’s: Dinos, Youngpro, and SniperOZ, South Africa’s number one overclocker Vivi, and Joe SteponZ. In addition to the multiple 3D world records set on Monday, the team of overclockers have also set 2D records with this new Intel CPU. In total one world record was accomplished with three global firsts. The benchmarks that were tested during Secret OC are: HWBot Prime, WPRIME 32M, WPRIME 1024M, and Intel XTU, the last being the world record score with 3476 Marks, at 5.33 GHz.

GIGABYTE now holds the world record for the highest frequency on the newest Intel i7-6950X Extreme Edition Processor, with over twenty-eight other submissions GIGABYTE was able to reach the top. These scores were achieved by using a GIGABYTE X99-SOC Champion Motherboard and G.Skill Memory. With many days left for these overclockers to meet, there is no doubt that there will be more records broken on their record breaking streak.
