woot! 1st post :D
I just got this board and I can't seem to find this issue anywhere. When I get in the bios then exit the computer will power off for about 2 seconds then power back on by itself then boot up just fine. I've run memtest, prime95 and I am running default settings at the moment. I've also switched memory slots. Is it normal for it to do that? I've done several builds before and never had that happen.

My setup is as follows
Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P
Intel E8400
Corsair Dominator 1066 2x 1 gig
Sapphire 4830
Antec Earth Watts 650w
Antec 300 case

Mine restarts like that when I save the Bios. Seemed normal to me... You like the board as much as I do? :D

i know i do!!!

it does the same however when i save the bios settings or overclock and save...it seems to shut off, then power back up.

i had another board that had this same behavior, its unnerving to say the least, but its ok.

for the record, i took my e7200 to 3ghz easily just set the fsb to 333, ram to ddr 800 so the ram is in spec, and 9 multi. ill burn this in a week or so then up the multi to 9.5

this is all on stock volts and cooling. but i have a great case and ventliation :)

Mine does this also, I thought it was normal, depending on what settings I changed it shuts off or just restarts.

On my GA-P35C-DS3R, whenever I changed the bus speed (or some other 'sensitive' setting) it also does the 2 second restart thing too.

Ok, just wondering, as I hadn't run into that before. BIWMirage, it seems to be a pretty sweet board...can't wait to OC it. I have the Zalman 9500 cooler so it should go pretty high :)

Yea I got my E8400 to 3.6ghz first try. Haven't had the time to push it higher.
