Gigabyte EX58-Extreme boot problems!

Greetings to all,

I have a problem with my new EX58-Extreme mobo which replacese my old trusty X38-dq6 .
whenever I turn the PC off , the mobo would boot for a split of a second then turns off with 2 LEDS next to the DIMM slots light with yellow and green color and the only way to boot the PC up again is by unplugging the power cable for some time.

My gear :
I7 920 batch 3841A534 (not overclocked)
OCZ intel extreme series Triple channel 6GB (OCZ3X1600LV6GK)
Thermaltake 1200 watt
P.S. I tried clearing CMOS, update firmware and everything but no luck.

Please help
 
By update firmware do you mean youve already updated the Bios?

The Gigabyte EX58-Extreme already has two Bio revisions out

welcome to the world of crap gigabyte x58 boards...do yourself a favor and get rid of it if you can...get something not made by gigabyte...if you do get it to work again it will just screw up again.
 
Everyone has problems with motherboards dude. Just because you had one crap out on your doesn't mean gigabyte is a bad company.
 
I've played with so many motherboards that I've lost count.
Gigabyte is the least troublesome motherboard I've worked with.
This is the 3rd motherboards from gigabyte that I face trouble with, if I want to state the other brands I would say 3 out of like 50 which is a decent ratio, Asus, DFI and MSI all of them I used for customers and for my personal use had more problems than Gigabyte, at least for me.

But I've never experienced such a problem before!
 
I figured what the problem is….. I sent the motherboard for the store to check it out by their technicians which after 3 days informed me that the motherboard is working fine, today I went to the store to see by my own eyes, and while I was there I figured out what was wrong……………….. it is the USB port 1 on the motherboard, if any USB based storage device is connected to that port during a cold boot, the motherboard will fail to boot unless clear the CMOS and remove power out of PSU!!!!!

WTF, never experienced something like that !
While I was at the store too the technician asked me to help him with another PC LOL which I did, I should receive a new Motherboards tonight by Gods welling! :D

I'm having exactly the same problem, and, as I could see, we have very similar computers.
Could you please detail how you solve the problem. Where is the usb 1? What did you use there? Are you sure there was nothing else with the PSU or the motherboard.
