Gigabyte Case

Yeah, it's a good case. I've heard of quite a few people using it...

The side window's kinda small, and it's sorta cramped if you plan on watercooling (you gotta, with the double 120mm at the back ;))

I don't plan on watercooling, I'm probably just going slap in some aftermarket aircoolers on the CPU/GPU.

I've been using it for the past month, I think its big and has a great build quality and i consider myself very picky. I was going to get the coolermaster stacker 830 until i saw this case and decided to save an extra hundred.

This case is great, my only gripe is that its a low pressure case instead of a high pressure case. It keeps your components cool but low low pressure will make air seep into unfiltered holes in your case wherever they may be and collect dust. But There are ways to fix this if you want to get creative. The case is Aluminum that is suppose to help the temps too, and nothing is cramped either, trust me! Cables are EASILY hid and the stock cable management is already pretty nifty.

Bottom line: Great case, i love it.

Do you have any gripes so far?

I used this case to build a system for a friend with a nice big evga 680i with a 7950 on it and it was a pleasure to use in the build. Tons of room, easy cable management, seems to have pretty good airflow, and quality build. Also, the light in the front is pretty cool, you can make your own insert to display whatever you want from the little front light, which is kind of cool.

i think the 3d Aurora case is more repsected, it also looks cooler too

More respected in what regard? It looks like they stuck with the same formula with this new one. Subjectively, i like how this newer version looks. There are many reviews on this case, and i haven't seen a negative one.

It doesn't have very good airflow from what I've read: http://www.antec.com/pdf/customPC_p180test.pdf

Read pg 80.

Hmm... That is an excellent article. I have a thread to remedy this same problem the Gigabyte Aurora has, poor intake due to the hard drive cage. Heres some ideas: http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1162085

What i actually ended up doing was getting three of these http://images10.newegg.com/NeweggIma...999-482-01.JPG

Put a 120mm fan behind it, then stuck a 120-80mm fan converter on it. THEN attached an air duct and guided it down to the 3.5 bays so it would be facing the motherboard vertically and added another converter 80-120mm and a 120mm fan and bam, cool air.

There are tons of products if you want to go that route. http://www.xoxide.com/slotcooler2.html

I would replace all the stock fans in the system, they suck. I have Coolermaster UV Silent, and a antec tricool on highspeed up front.
