gigabyte c2d slow boot?

Does anyone else think that that there boot times are slow or is it just me?
I am using raid with 2 raptors in raid0 and i use tunexp, i have 2 scrolling windows bars. The slowest is after the first screen(post?) then it takes about 10-14 seconds to detect my drives. Is this a common scenario for all gigabyte c2d mobo owners? or just one of the side effects of having raid?
