gigabyte blue eye

ask on a better forum. Most threads like these usually end up with recommendations for another kit, without ever telling you why their kit of choice is better than the one you are asking about.

having said that, try Googling the kit for reviews.

Well it looks cool, but I would go for a setup with a bigger radiator at that price.

Looks similar to my Coolermaster Aquamini R120, minus the fact that the gigabyte has some expandability. iirc, my Aquamini dropped my temps in my aria (cpu wise) by like 7C or something.. Wasnt crazy, but its a lot better than it was, idles at like 30C now in my G325. Although the sides are off atm..

Oh and actually, for that price I'd probably buy a kit from Petra (www.petrastechshop.com). The CoolKit Lite would probably be better performing, and like the above poster mentioned, uses real watercooling parts. I wish I had known about Petra before I went and started ordering my parts, because I know nothing about watercooling (aside from what I've seen and read, which isnt enough imo) and will end up spending more than I needed too lol

http://www.3dxtreme.net/index.php?id=swiftechh20-120-maze41

a single BIP can cool a Opty 148 @ 3GHz and a X1900XTX @ 690 core/800 mem.

so if a 120.1 I bought for $10 from a fellow [H]Forumer can do that much, then the Gigabyte kit should be more than sufficient for cooling the CPU.

as for expandability of the thing, it's kinda hard to say, since there is no mention of head pressure on http://www.frozencpu.com/products/2..._System_Universal_GH-WIU01.html?tl=g30c83s135 , I don't really think you should try adding restrictive GPU blocks such as the AquaXtreme MP-1. Also, keep in mind that the radiator is made out of aluminum, so be sure to do your research on galvanic corrosion if you're thinking about adding a GPU block.

EDIT: XtremeSystems is an excellent forum. The members there will balk at the idea of you using a kit like that, but they'll be helpful with their responses.

hrmm. ok i've been checking out the petra website and i'll check out xtremesys forums for what they have to say. thanks much!

well looks like i'll be building my own kit (watches wallet size shink proportionally with number of degrees dropped)

lol, i know how u feel.. i ended up buying danger den parts, after water and stuff, it cost me more then 400 dollars

Jesus 400? What did you buy!

Dual rad 50$
TDX 57$
DD D5 pump 87$ (or buy the TDX combo and SAVE!)
Maze 4 GPU 50$
Masterkleer Tubing 15' for 10$

That's like... just over 200$ 250 for a dual GPU loop!

and yes, I'm also active on XS... under a different screen name :D

and getting opinions from people like you and a couple others aren't worth the BS from other people when the aforementioned former group are XS members too :)
