I've been running my e6550 @ 3.5 ghz ( 7 x 500 fsb, ram @ 2x mult = 1000 mhz) for two weeks now using SETI to keep it at 100%. temps at 59c on both cores. I recently had to restart, and during bios boot, it shut off, restarted on its own (as if a bios change was made) and booted up normally. Only change was I was back down to stock speed. Any ideas why its done that ? I've gone back in and set back to 500 FSB and can run stable, no issues on orthos 12 hr run, or any gaming.

Damn things will do that, God only knows what it is checking during POST that it is finding and does not like. causing it to reset. Frankly all you can do is mess around a bit. Try giving the MCH some more voltage, +.1V, would be my first guess.
