I have a Gigabyte 990fxa-ud3 MB, was wondering if it matters what PCI-E slot to put a IBM 1015 card in, closest to the CPU or furthest? Asking because I current have it furthest away and when I did 'megarec -adpList' it comes up with 'Warning! IO Base address high. Currently not supported.' but it does display the adapter.

I have the M1015 and the Asus P8B WS. Did a bios update and the machine failed to boot until I pulled the card. After relocated from the farthest from the CPU to the closest and it worked. Also back in the day when I crossflashed my M1015, I needed to do it in another PC because of detection problems. These might not have anything to do with you situation, but thought I'd share that that card and modern motherboards can act funny.

The manual shows the last slot being 4x and the card is 8x so I think I'll try it in the 2nd 16x slot and hope passing it through also wont grab the graphics card.
