GIGABYTE 3D Rocket Cooler

Hmmm...no customer reviews, no pro reviews. A unique design...you may want to go with a proven solution instead. Not that this one may not be great but see if you can find a decent review of it first.

EDIT: Ok, went to Gigabytes site and its been reviewed a lot and gotten a crapload of awards. Check out the diff between the 2 3D rocket coolers Gigabyte makes to be sure you get the one right for you.

I would be wary of that design. Once dust gets in there, it doesnt look like it will ever come out easily.

ok, i have been using this cooler for a week now, and I love it. It is silent, you can not hear the fan at ALL, not bad for 3000rpm. It was super easy to install on my mobo. It actually will clean the dust very easy... just a little air, and poof.... gone. But what I love about this cooler is the way it cools the mobo, mem, and GPU around it. It is an amazing cooler.

At rest im getting around 42c, and at loads im getting around 52-55 depending. And I have the athlon 64 3000+ OCed to 2.4 which is a decent OC.

I am very happy with this purchase.

I have this cooler on the following setup.

A64 3000+ s939 1.525v FSB 250MHZ HTT 4 @ 2250MHZ approx.
K8N Neo2 Platinum 1.4 bios
Gigabyte 3d rocket cooler pro
1gb (2X512) Geil Ultra PC4000 running @ 2.5-3-3-7-1T
TT 480PS
TT VA3000 dream alum. case

I run 35-38 idle, upper 40's under load. 50 is the max temp I have seen while running Prime 95.

I removed the skirt and the temps dropped from 42 idle to 36 and 52 under load to 48.

It is very quiet. As to the dust comment there is a lid on top of the cooler to keep dust out. You can actually vacuum the exterior of the cooler.

I would have to say I am a fan of the appearance and performance.

(cough) google (cough). Frostytech has a very good review on the Gigabyte 3D rocket cooler. I was considering buying it, but found a different one at the same price.

Frostytech doesnt test the HS/F combo on a computer, but on a 50/100W heater. I thought that would be better, since it would be eaiser to compare coolers to eachother. Testing on a fake CPU rules out heat and noise from Hard drives, chipsets, regulators...

The Rocket cooler was rated at 50Db i think

i bought the cheapest cooler i could find that looked decent for my amd 64 3400+ since i had plans to try watercooling, but never got around to it, and it works good considering its price. i get about 49 degrees celcius under full load (playing counterstrike for like 2 hours, then hitting the reset button and looking in the bios)

that is the one i got.

i have one it was purchased from newegg.com about a month ago the one i have will run at 3000 rpm up to 4000 rpm i am not very happy with mine at all becouse i paid $40.00 for it and it is kind of loud becouse i run it at full speed. and it does'nt even cool the cpu as well as the stock cooler. i am running a athlon 64 3000 on a abit kv8pro motherboard at the default settings.
