hey all,
ill start from the... start
my brothers LCD, a 3 year old 17" packard bell monitor had horrendous ghosting when i temporaraly owned it with a P4 2.5ghz, 256mb ram, 9200se setup. just horrible, could not stand all the blurriness and ghosting that Half life 2 made. so i switched to my 19" CRT until i got an ACD 20". with a newer setup. however, my brother got my old setup, except that he added a 512mb ram stick to total to 768mb.
suprisingly, all the low settings in Source based games went straight up to high. we played half life 2 and Counter strike source on the monitor and i was in awe.
VERY LITTLE GHOSTING, i mean nearly non existing, only that the colours dnt match to my current display, so i probably notice more 'changes'. the ghosting has gone away in HL2 which i was completley dumbfounded by. is it possible that a better PC setup/ maxed out settings in games cause much of the ghosting to go away? or is this a special magical monitor
could it be that detail, drawing graphics faster somhow has made the ghosting go away? this is a solution i have found, and tested it thouroughly, with changing settings and noticing much more blurrness and ghosting on lower, even on my Apple.. thanks for reading
