Ghosting on Laptops?

probably because any laptops that are designed to be able to game have also already had the screen considerations dealt with. Tha twould be my guess anyways.

Unfortunately I did on my Dell Inspiron 5150. Ah, 32mb video card goodness, didn't play anything new mind you, only Warcraft 3 and Counterstrike(I'll be playing more now.) But I never noticed any ghosting or blacks that aren't "black". Maybe it was there and I just didn't noticed, never really used a CRT much. Anyone have any laptop experience that can comment on things like ghosting and how good "blacks" look? A comparison to a decent monitor(like the Viewsonic VP171b I plan on getting) would be awesome as well, I'm just trying to gauge how my new monitor(for my new system, sold the Dell) will compare to my old laptop.
Bah, just found out the 171 uses a TN panel and isn't just a smaller version of the 191. Now I don't know what to do, the 191 is a little too expensive still...
Is there anyone here that has both a laptop and a relatively new LCD(the Viewsonic 191 would be great) and woulc tell me how the monitor's screen and your LCD compare in terms of ghosting, movies, etc?

i have a 2405 and a inspiron 6000, and the quality of the laptop is no where near as good. Im probably gonna return it and get a sony laptop.
There is ghosting but it really isnt a problem, backlight is horrible, i got a bad backlight but even if it was good its just not as good as a regular lcd. I dont think it will ever be as good either,

Well that's comforting, I never noticed ghosting on my Inspiron 5150, and I'm sure any new monitor I get will be better. Now I just have to figure out what to get. I want to get the Viewsonic 191b, but at $430 it's a little expensive. If only they made a 17" version (stupid 171b is a TN panel).
