Ghost + Floppy + USB support=WTF?

First off, I know there are other, "better", ways to ghost a PC. Due to some of the systems I work on, a single floppy that will allow me to ghost to an external USB drive would be incredibly useful. However, I can't for the life of me get one to work.

Here's what I'm dealing with:

Ghost 7.5 and 8.0
Every flippin' method of making a DOS USB enabled floppy from here http://www.bootdisk.com/usb.htm

I have a couple disks that will boot into DOS, find my external USB hard drive and let me fire up Ghost. Ghost even sees the drives. However, when I try to do a Disk -> Image, ghost locks up and crashes every time before even copying data. (I tried both NTFS and 32GB FAT32 partitions).

Does anyone have a DOS based USB enabled Ghost floppy disk? Do the newer versions of Ghost natively support this? Or is this an exercise in futility?
 
Haven't tried it in years, I gave up trying to figure out OHCI and UHCI drivers. Checking Ghost 11, the bootdisk maker offers both sets of drivers. It also has an 'Override BIOS USB control' if you don't enable USB drivers. No idea what it does or if it works. But it claims:

Ghost has built-in support for accessing external storage devices, such as FireWire, USB or zip drives.

Takes longer to load than a DOS floppy, but WinPE 2.0 has been perfect with our USB drives so far.
