Ghetto socket A or Vf900?

I have a spare socket A and A64 hsf, and I'm considering doing that mod that was here a few days ago and mount it on my gpu, the problem is unlike the previous 7900 that was cooled my x1900xt produces alot more heat, the Stock cooler at 100% keeps it below 50C but it is like a class 4 hurricane when it comes to noise. Do you guys think either the socket A or A64 heatsink with a good 80mm fan with decent airflow can outperform the vf900?
