I just came from walmart (got the munchies) and I noticed they had GH3 on the floor. However looking at the boxes it looked like the 360 version came with the Gh2 controller, not the new Les Paul wireless one. Is this true? I thought GH3 was supposed to come with a wireless guitar? The wii version had the wireless guitar (of course) , and they were sold out of the PS3 version (said they only got 20 of the PS3 one in) so I couldn't look at that one, PS2 was the old controller aswell.

Buddy of mine got the 360 verision (I got the Wii) both have les paul controllers, except the 360 one is black and the wii is white. Both are wireless.

Walmart has an exclusive package that comes with the X-Plorer guitar from GH2. It looks like it may be the way to go. I have been over on gamefags and the red octane fourms and it looks as though the new controller is having problems.

And? The old one has problems, the star power randomly starts when you never want it to, never works when you DO want it to, and its impossible to play sitting down because of its shape.

You put the explorer on your left leg and it works fine sitting down.. I find it easier to do that..

Whoa there, I wasn't slamming the thing, I was just stating a fact about based on the numerous comments on the forums I mentioned. I am sure the new Guitar is going to be fine once the work out the bugs and put out a revision. The X-Plorer had problems with it's firs gen roll out and they were solved in subsequent model revisions. I was only making the observation that the the X-Plorer has been in development longer so it is bound to have fewer bugs and looks to be the way to go for uninhibited gameplay on the 360.

The new Les Paul was bound to have unexpected issues. They added the new feature to break it down for easy storage. Anytime you add something new to a design, no matter how good the feature, there is bound to be some kinks. I'm sure Red Octane will fix them.

Some places are doing package deals with the xplorer to get rid of them before the selling the new guitars. I have two xplorers and still chose to go with the game & guitar package. In the two hours I put into it last night, I must say that I like it much better than the xplorer. I went through five straight expert tiers with 5 stars. I would've done the same with the xplorer, but the new one just feels better.

Snagged the last copy of the Wii version tonight at the Fountain Valley, CA Fry's, so far I'm enjoying the hell out of it! The Guitar with the Wiimote works SO much better than the standard GH controllers ever have, I can invoke Star Power easily and consistently, something no first or third party guitar has ever given me.

Even won my first (so far only) Online match!!!!

real men play guitars with the guitar resting on their left leg.. (I play classical guitar... it always rests on the left leg)

The problems people might be having could be the same that I have with mine, and that's when a button or two will not work. I found out that the problem is the connection between the neck and the body of the guitar isn't as snug as it should be. So what I did was get a rubber band and use the strap peg on the neck and pull it across the back and connect to the far right strap peg.

Someone needs to fix it.
