Gfx Card Upgrade suggestions

Hi all. I have a 4870 in my rig right now, and I've been wanting to do an upgrade.

Should I:
1.) Grab another 4870 and go crossfire (I'm going to have to get a bigger mobo for this)
2.) upgrade to GTX470 and overclock and WC the biznich
3.) Wait for the 6000 series before doing anything.

What do you think peeps.

Here is my Rig:
P2 955BE @3.8Ghz during gaming
4GB DDR2
Gigabyte mATX mobo (785G Chipset)
Silverstone 750w single rail @ 60A
CM 690 II
 
What resolution do you play at right now?
 
Personally, I wouldn't switch motherboards for a video card solution alone. For me, it would have to be a complete platform upgrade in order to upgrade my motherboard.

But there are a few questions that do need to be answered though. Like Dosobye asked, what resolution are you playing at? How much RAM is on the 4870? What games do you play? And how unsatisfied are you with the performance you have right now?

If I were in your situation, I'd go for GTX 470 option if there was a good deal to be found and want to upgrade now. However, if your performance is still acceptable now, I'd wait for the 6000 series to drop to see what kind of price drops will take place. :)
 
I play at 1920x1080. It's a 1GB model. I already have a WC loop for the CPU, and plan on cooling the Gfx Card(s) as well but I've heard that the Radeon cards don't respond as well to overclocking as nVidia card (enspecially the 400 series!). I know my 4870 doesn't overclock worth a damn. Give it an extra 50Mhz and it starts producing all kinds of funny stuff.

I am wanting to get a bigger motherboard though. I'm not very happy with it. It doesn't overclock well at all, and it's features are slightly limited. I'm "OK" with the Grahpics card right now, But I play pretty much anything (except for WoW), But SC2 has been making me think of upgrading. I can't play at max detail, and have smooth play when there are 60+ units fighting. Well, I should rephrase that. It's not liquidy smooth. :D

That, and my upgrade bug is bitting me!
