GF4 Ti 4200 problem

I have an MSI Geforce 4 Ti 4200 model VTD8X that has problems booting. The strange thing is that I have no problem getting it to boot in my Main PC, but as soon as I use it in another computer, I get nothing. No beeps at all, including error or beeps that occur during post. Does anyone have any idea why this only wants to boot in my PC?
 
What are the specifications of your other motherboards? Do they possess the necessary AGP port revision that is required of the Ti4200?
 
The other motherboards I used it in were my friend's Asus K8S-MX, which should work, and my old motherboard in my spare PC, which has worked with the video card before, which is a Shuttle AK32L. I had the video card in storage in an anti-static bag for a while after getting a new card, and I removed the thermaltake hsf that I had on there and replaced it with the stock one. I would suspect I damaged the card either during storage or switching fans, but if that was true, it wouldn't work in my PC either.
 
That is indeed a strange problem you are experiencing. Wish I could offer some advice for help. Very sorry I'm not able to. Good luck and keep us posted if you find anything out.
 
not really an odd problem, I dont think the other motherboard will support it. Or if you know it has an agp4x/8x slot and not a agp 2x/1x slot then it probably pwoer supply related. Do they have a good enough power supply? Perhaps not.

I find it odd because spyder said he used the card in his Shuttle AK32L before, but now it doesn't work. And IIRC, nVidia released all the GeForce 4 Ti series cards in 2 versions: 1 that was AGP 4x, the other that was AGP 4x/8x. But regardless, it should work in the Shuttle because it is AGP 4x capable.
 
my geforce 4 was an 8x model, but it still should have worked in the Shuttle, because I know it did before. The power supplies shouldn't be a problem, as one was the antec 300? watt included with the antec aria, and the other was an enlight 300w.
 
make sure you have your friends motherboard set to boot up agp instead of pci
