I bumped my gf 2 gts 32 meg in my sig from stock of 200/333 to 223/345 and I'm getting pixels out of place and some problems with it, cooling I have is a crystal orb with no ram sinks and a slot cooler right underneath the card.

Any suggestions or experience would be helpfull.

a crystal orb isnt the best cooler.

feel the back of the card were the gpu is and see how hot it is

why do you even bother overclocking a geforce2?

Probably because its all he has and all he can afford, so he's getting his money's worth out of it. Not all people and go out and get new parts for their PC's, they have to use what they can.

Hey man, don't bother overclocking the core as it does nothing for performance. Just stick to OCing the RAM. I had to add RAMsinks to my GTS to be able to reach 396Mhz on the RAM.

wouldnt it make sense to just try a lower setting? try overclocking either the mem or core speeds one at a time to find out the max values they can each handle without crashing or artifacting. then try the max stable settings together... it might or might not be stable with both settings maxed out at their individual settings.. if it isnt stable then just lower each one 5mhz or so at a time until you find the sweet spot.

Don't spend too much on them, and get a fan to get some airflow over the heatsinks if you have one laying around.

I have a slot exhaust fan right under my gfx card for extra cooling, they are convenient since I don't have a spot for any real fans.
