My clan and I rent a couple of boxes at The Planet and we've been with them for several years. We have multiple servers and we are considering to start a BF2 server up.

My question is, how do we get the server officially ranked by EA? Does anyone know what type of resources the server takes up? Thanks for the info...
 
Hogan's right, You can't just have a ranked server on any open box. You have to go through a RANKED server provider to get a port(s). EA does this to keep people from hacking the stats via the serverside. I believe one of the requirements for the server host is the renter can't have access to the files or the box itself and the host has to provide proof that they have more then $2k in funds from their business per month. I have a friend over at dnrgaminghosts.com that does server hosting and these were some of the requirements of the contract with EA.
