Getting Unstable Machine error with 8600GTS (can't fix)

I am having trouble getting my secondary 8600GTS to fold properly, I have tried all the solutions for multi-gpu folding and fixing the UNSTABLE MACHINE errors to no avail. In my old setup I had 2 8600GTS (identical cards, these cards) running in my machine powering 4 monitors. I just got a BFG GTX260 (216 core, this one) and started using it as my primary card (powering only one monitor), and just left a 8600 in the second PCIe slot (running 2 others). All my cards are at factory clock speeds.

Before the upgrade I was using the F@H GPU2 Console client with no problems and folding just fine on a single 8600. After my upgrade I deleted the F@H client and got the same GPU2 client for my GTX260, all is going well at this point. Then I tried the multi-gpu approaches, such as the additional parameters: -gpu and -forcegpu nvidia_g80, and also using the system tray client (both of which reported hardware as GTX260, and only one ever actually worked). Both video cards are at the latest recommended drivers from NVIDIA and I have tried several different setups with the drivers such as: both with 8600 drivers, both with GTX260 drivers, both with CUDA beta drivers, latest individual drivers for each card.

I also know its not a bad video card, as it was folding before, and I have tried it with both of my 8600's.

If anyone knows how I can get the second 8600 to work instead of always having the UNSTABLE MACHINE error, or can point me to any threads or solutions I might have missed, that would be greatly appreciated.

System info:
Vista Ultimate x64 (latest updates)
Core 2 Duo (E8400) @ 3.1 GHz
2GB of DDR2 ram
GTX260 (driver:7.15.11.8048)
8600GTS (driver:7.15.11.7824)
Mobo: ABIT AW9D-MAX (here)

the gtx 260/280 do not like being mixed with other cards.. so my best bet is that its the gtx 260 causing the errors on the 8600GTS.. so your only choice really is to get rid of the 8600GTS from that machine.. and just build your self another system running the 2 8600GTS's..
