So I've this guy for about 4, maybe 5 years. I loaded it up with 2TB drives when I bought it, and kept the stock 750gb in there for the OS.
It runs good, and I really like and actually often use the PC backup/restore feature.
But it's getting old, so I should probably start looking at replacing it with new hardware.
Unpacking rar files is slow, and 1080p video from it is very scarce. 720p no problem, but it's time to move on from that as well.
So here is what I'm looking for.
Gigabit ethernet
4xhdd capacity
Control on an OS via RDP or in a web browser through it's own software
Full permission control across multiple folders per user
Internet accessibility
Backup feature for PCs
Restore feature for PCs
I like the non raid disk feature of WHS, I'd prefer something similar, but RAID if I must.
Thanks!
