Getting stuck at DMI Pool Data

The saga continues...sorry to bother you again guys.

So, I'm building my new Abit AV8, Athlon 64 3500+ 939 pin system. I had some problems with the M/B beeping, but when I connected a CPU fan and made it run fast enough, the beeping ended.

Now, unfortunately, I have another problem. I managed to boot normally, but Windows XP setup did not recognize the SATA hard disk. So I tried to reboot, so as to check out the driver floppy that came with the M/B.

The problem is, ever since I rebooted, booting gets stuck at the "Verifying DMI Pool Data" message. Any idea what might be causing this and what I can do to stop it? Would refreshing the CMOS do anything?

Thanks,
Kostis
