Ok guys, I am gonna make a supply run in sears sometime soon to get new tools. I currently have a 15k RPM cordless dremel that I wanna replace. I am wondering what kinda saw to get, ie reciprocating, jig etc. Does anyone know if a standard jigsaw with a metal cutting blade would cut through a side panel? I'm thinking of getting one or a reciprocating. Anyone have any advice on what to get?

oh yeah, a jigsaw easily cuts through side panels of computers. Just make sure that you get a blade that is meant for cutting metal.

my jigsaw works GREAT, on my lian li, one blade cut thru 4 120mm blow holes and 2 80mm fan grills, and looks like it can still do more! it is aluminum, but even on steel i am sure a jigsaw would work!

A decent jig saw with a metal cutting blade will make short work of a side panel, only thing is get some ear protection! It makes one helluva racket.
