Getting rid of old electronics/cables

Hey Guys,

I am curious to know how other people get rid of there old computer parts and electronics? I usually try to fix up old computers for family/friends and give stuff away for free--which usually results in a large cache of parts laying around to pick from. This wasn't a problem until I moved and now I don't really have any storage to keep all this stuff--and frankly don't want to be everyone's computer guy anymore.

Anyhow, as g mentioned, CL is a great way to get rid of junk (free stuff section). I had a HUGE list of crap that i was trying to "sell" for $5 for one item, and the rest are free -- maintained that list for almost 2yrs, continually selling stuff from it and adding to it as I find new crap around the house -- In one fell swoop, I was able to get rid of it all in a day by posting it to CL. BTW, goodwill will only accept full systems w/ OS installed, IIRC (or maybe thats the salvation army? bleh, one of them requires that crap).
