Getting random errors/crashes

I've had a couple different errors with my card now. What has happened a few times now is my system will crash and reboot itself and I'll get an error saying that the driver for the display device was unable to complete a drawing operation. Just now I got one saying something about by display and a thread. I know that's not very discriptive, but I can't remember... It said something about and infinite loop, also. Is that too vague, or can anybody diagnose this?
 
Don't think so... It was one of the choices under common problems when I sent the error report to MS. They reccomended getting the latest drivers or replacing my video card. My version information under settings/advaced says: Catalyst: 04.9, 2D: 6.14.10.6476, Packaging Version: 8.051-040825a-017633c. I have no idea of I'm up to date on everything. I tried to DL the latest catalysts (4.10, I think?) but it made my computer crash so I decided not too... I'm also in DX9.0c
 
i didn't think so... that particular error is very, very rare these days...
 
Get a motherboard / voltage monitor program and see if all your rails are within norm.

The one I use is called motherboard monitor and it just came with my driver disk, so I've never actually gone out looking for such a program. You might be able to find it as freeware somewhere. Motherboard monitor or motherboard voltage monitor should net you an app or two on google.
