GODDAMN i love those klipsches. are they wall mountable?

edit: i just realized theyre made for a game console. can i still use them to play surround like video games on my pc or high def movies? or is it just left and right spread out?

you have to use the optical digital input on the klipsch to get 5.1 output.i have optical out on my nf-s 7 with soundstorm, but i cant find a definative answer if it outputs 5.1 and 4.1 gaming through it,but i know it does 5.1 dvd .even if i knew for sure that it would im still going with the bostons.

The klipsch will not do 5.1 surround through the digital input in games (only a hand full of games support DD 5.1 anyway). However, I understand that your onboard sound is capable of Encoding DD 5.1 on the fly. If that is the case, its my understanding that the encoded signal can be sent to the Klipsch decoder giving you 5.1 surround for gaming.

The Klipsch decoder also does 6 channel dolby pro-logicII which is not bad at all for gaming.

Having owned both. I still recommend the Bostons.

Sorry, you didn't mention that you had the soundstorm audio. My mistake

i like the klipshes for the coolness factor. the bostons are just plain gray (ugh, they may sound better, but i hate the color) anyway, thanks for the info, once i save up $20 more im going to get the klipsches.

im planning on dying my sats and center blue and making the grills black to make a matched system :)!!!!!!!!
