Getting kicked from BF3 for no reason!!!

Have played BF3 since day one. Not one problem. Now tonight I have tried to join 5 different servers. And within 2-3 minutes get kicked from the server. Saying Game got disconnected. Yet my internet is fine. I have updated punkbuster manually but that did nothing. Is anyone else having this issue??
 
Just got disconnected from several servers in a few minutes today(along with other issues). :( Getting annoying real fast!

Same thing happened to me last night. Game ran fine since day one and all of a sudden I was getting kicked from every server just like you said. I reinstalled Punkbuster and after that didn't fix it I reinstalled the whole game. That didn't work either so I gave up. I tried again this afternoon and it seems to work now.

Hopefully the upcoming patch will fix some of these problems.
 
It sounds like a Punkbuster problem. Try a server with no punkbuster.

When doesn't Punkbuster cause a problem? It works then doesn't, then works, then doesn't, and is so easy to beat that it only really catches the morons. Well, getting rid of the morons is a plus, so it is not all bad. Of course VAC is no better, it never causes games to not work as far as I have heard, but instead of at least catching the morons, it only catches the dumbest of the morons. The ones that can't win even when they do cheat.

When I join certain servers that actually have the PB messages, I see all sorts of people getting kicked for OGC hack, etc. Just because you may not see people getting kicked or banned doesn't mean it doesn't work.

It obviously doesn't work because I still see people hacking, and see them hacking again the next day on the same PB "protected" servers. Reporting hackers is almost a waste of time most of the time these days. The server admins, when their are actually server admins at all, have, given their blessings, just don't give a shit, or actually think PB/VAC can catch it all.

I am not talking about BF3 in particular. I do not own the game, and likely will not ever bother with it. I am talking about PB itself.
 
It happens to me on occasion, usually when I'm doing well, and my stats need all the help they can get. Love MP FPS, I'm just not real good at it.

Just had it happen again to me...really ticked me off because I wasted a good hour on a 1,000 ticket server, got the ribbon I needed to get my medal, and like 10 minutes later I'm staring at my desktop with the message 'Game disconnected.' How fckn annoying...
 
I just started to see this same issue around four days ago, I thought it was just me since I had to do a recovery to the factory image on my laptop just before this all started happening. Once I updated everything and checked through anything that could be causing this(i.e. firewall, missing folders, etc) and still notice no change I went to the threads to see if it was a common issue. Anyways, I'm hoping they fix this problem with the next patch because so far there are a lot of people assuming they know how to fix it with very few people agreeing. I also hope they get punkbuster to finally do it intended job properly. It will catch some of the people attempting to hack there way to victory but it misses just as many. I can't tell you how many people get kicked by the players because they're obviously cheating, hopefully they can get PB to do it job.
 
So for me it was a Punkbuster issue. Stupid thing wasn't responding. The fix ended up being Uninstalling PB, forcing a repair install on BF3 (which did change some shit), reinstalling PB, deleting PBSetup, redownloading it and running it.

Of those maybe only the last one was needed. I ran PBSetup a could times and I kept saying "Duh, no update needed!" However I think it wasn't actually getting the new HTM files. When I blew it away and tried it again it then said "Oh hey, an update!"

No more problems now (well not yet at least).

So those are the things I'd try. It is some fuckup related to updates that aren't happening. The repair reinstall you do by right clicking in origin and choosing it on the menu. A PB reinstall you do by getting pbsvc.exe from Evenbalance. PBsetup is their normal update tool, you can also download it form them, but just make sure to blow away the one you have (including the HTM files it downloads) and redownload it and then do an update.

If all that doesn't work, I am out of ideas :/.
 
I finally fixed the getting kicked problem for myself, not sure if this will work for everybody but it did the trick for me. I went to my routers IP address then went to advanced options and turned UPnP off (Universal Plug and Play). So far so good, I've been able to play through every game with no problem. Hopefully this will work for those of you who aren't having any luck with other suggestions.

that's across ALL servers that are streaming the banlist, so it's possible that not a single one of those bans was actually from your server.
