with an a7n8x, is it possible to get multipliers higher than 12.5 in bios by putting in a single piece of wire? looking at ocinside i did the following:
1) go to socket view
2) select several multipliers and see which pins get jumped.
3) find the common ones between all above 12.5x.
the only one which shows up in all multi's above 12.5 is the one which goes from "east" of the missing pin in a "southwest" direction. this doesn't seem to appear in any of the multi's below 12.5. does this mean that I can connect just this one and get the bios multiplier selection to always pick the higher of the two multi's? The bios has entries like "5x/13x", but it always picks the lower of the two. will this force it to the higher multi?
the reason I've come across for this "always pick lower" behavior is that the motherboard only encodes multis with 4 bits, whereas newer boards use 5. it'd be good to know if I can just add the "high bit" to this mobo and get a better oc out of it. thanks in advance.
