Getting emails despite turning off notification...

I still get emails every time someone posts, despite the fact that I've turned off that option in the CP. Is this a glitch, mods?
 
I still get emails from threads that I subscribed to before turning email notification off. I don't know if it's a bug but I don't get any of the newer subscribed threads in my emails so it seems to be working.
 
That glitch was fixed last week. Try clearing all of your forum cookies and reset your permissions.....

Kyle I am also having the same problem with the constant email notifications, I treid to reset all cookies and did away with subscriptions but problem still arises. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh... email notification is working now? Cool... The only email I ever get is from forums so it'll be nice to get some more :D I was just about to come in here and ask if it was working too.

btw, the Recieve emails from administrators button can be checked right, that wont affect getting subscription emails?

Kyle I am also getting the emails again. I tried to delete all cookies and unsubscribed to everything, is there anything else I am missing.

They are entirely separate.

wipeout833, in the admin panel it showed you as subscribing with instant notification. I went ahead and set you to no subscriptions, but I don't know where Kyle hid the "POOF" button to make anything current go away.

Are they threads you have subscribed to? Then unsubbed? Or threads you have posted in? Gimme some 411 on this, as this is not a global problem. We went and chagned the default to NOT SUB you when you post, maybe you need to change that in your options?

Pull up the users profile in the Admin control panel and select Delete Subscriptions from the drop down menu over there nick.
 
I do not believe I have subscribed to any threads or does it automatically subscribe you when you post a reply in a thread. I know for this thread here I keep getting emails for it letting me know that someone has replied. I will look in the control panel again, thanks again for helping me out Kyle, Lethal and MajorDomo sorry to be such a pain.

In the control panel you are listed for no subscriptions. I tried to "poof" your subscriptions (now that I know where the magic button is) but it said you had none.

If you are still getting them, then I have no clue what the problem could be. Is there such a thing as "the twilight zone virus"? :D
 
Yes I am still getting them, I just got the email that you replied to this thread, oh well its not big of a deal. I know in the emails that show up in my box it gives me a option to unsubscribe to the threads should I just start using that? Thanks for you help Lethal and yes maybe it is a Virus of some kind. :eek:
 
I had the same problem so the I went into my user cp and hit the save but after i turned off email notification...the save button does somthing..... :confused:
