Getting case design cut out professionally?

Are there companies out there that I can ship my case panel to, along with a vector/raster image of what I want cut out of the side panel? I've heard of people sending their case away to be cut via water jet, but usually that's because said person knows a friend of a friend.

Are there places that would do this out there? If there are people out there that have recomendations, or have had this done, could you give a ballpark estimate of what they charge, and possibly some images of the finished product?

I ask because I'm great with images and graphics design, but not so good with a dremel, and I'd rather just have it done by someone with experience.
 
I sent in a quote request to one of those, I wanted a single design cut into 2 side panels, was going to cost me $400 to get it done, needless to say I won't be doing it!

Good grief. Was the design complex? Do you have any pictures of what you wanted?
 
call around to some fab shops in your area, they might be willing to do it on the side for not so much. There is a huge markup on that kind of stuff in the PC mod industry.
 
Check out Laser Precision Cutting. They cut a two holes in both of my side panels for $75 shipped. I just sent them a CAD drawing of what I wanted and they did it no problem. They're great to work with and obviously the price is right!
 
You guys gotta understand that a machine shop that doesn't specialize in this waterjet or laserjet cutting is going to be pretty spendy.

It costs to run the machine. Add in the setup fees and really the price is justified.

Your best bet is to find one online who specializes in doing computer parts so price is probably a hair cheaper.

I wouldn't expect any intricate design to be under a hundred at all.
