Ok so heres my idea.

and a 80mm or 90mm fan.

Im going to add the front 120mm fan to try and get some airflow over my ram.
Im going to add the 80/90mm fan at the bottom with long screws to stand it close to the 8800 to feed air to it and the slot cooler to pull the hot air away from the 8800.

These pics arnt that good but bare with me.

Questions

Will this cooling help lower my temps all around such as my chipset, ram, ect?
Will too much air be coming in and not enough coming out?
What fan should i put at the bottem?
Will this make my case really loud?

Pics of my current setup.

The fan that you're thinking of putting on risers, I wouldn't. Unless the fans are in synch, you're not really creating any additional airflow inside the cooler on the gpu.

At least that's my understanding of fans facing each other. One can't push air into the other more efficiently unless it's a very specific setup.

well the reason i wanna do that is to feed the 8800 som cool air. I put my top 90mm down their and it helped alot but my cpu temps rose alot so i put it back.
The reason im doing this is last night i put my hand under the 8800 and realized it was only sucking in warm air.

if you want better cooling and airflow, replace those poor fans that came with the case with some high quality/ higher cfm fans like Scythe S Flex or Panasonic Panaflow, they both have fluid bearings and offer higher cfm without soo much noise.

i like the led lights.
and i dont really want to pay $20 for a fan.

on the outside pumping air in. Close up the front of your case and put oin the side cover. you can't get air flow like that. It is also better to have positive airflow. that is just a little more going in than is going out. It keeps the dust down and helps everything stay cooler.
Here is a link to a great little store I use for extremely well priced fans. The shipping there is flat rate so I try to order a few fans and grills and supplies each time. The prices are excellent!

Get enough fans to do the job and get that case closed up!!
you can either go in throught the side with a 120 or 90 minimum or you can jack the case up a couple inches and go in through the bottom. I do it both ways.
My sons case.

that case has 2 x 80mm fans blowing up and in. really aids in cooling.
This one has side cooling. That is a 6400 Allendale running at 3800mhz and staying at 43C while doing it.

Then there is my main system WZ-3 8800GTS idles at 39C with a 120mm fan helping it out.

Good air flow makes parts run cooler, faster, and last longer....
hope you get it all worked out.

but i came up with another idea.

twist tieing a 120mm fan to the end of the harddrive bay. they would be long twist ties so the fan wouldnt touch the harddrive, would this work?
