Getting acceleration on second monitor?

I've got a radeon 9800pro, primary monitor plugged in via VGA, secondary monitor plugged in to DVI with an adapter. Only the first monitor gets acceleration though. Even things like fullscreen movies, milkdrop visualization etc, lag on the second monitor, but not on the first. What can I do about this? I've tried a couple of different drivers, no success.
 
isnt that normal. I think thats common. At least it was with me.
 
This helped a little as I remember. I played games in a window, the widest window you can stretch it, almost to full screen. The other monitor did act better. Its not full screen but its close.
 
Yah that doesn't help. I want proper acceleration on my second monitor for watching movies, displaying milkdrop, and stuff
 
in order to accelerate both monitors on my 6800gt, i have to use the option that turns both monitors into one big one, so that my windows toolbar spans both of them.
