getting a printer to work on wireless.....

I have a brother printer in my basement that has a built in nic. I want to move this upstairs, not near a pc and I dont want to run another cat5 cable. I have wireless setup. What if I buy a cheap wireless router, set that up and connect the printer to it. Would that work?

Sure, Setup a wireless bridge to connect to the rest of the network. Connect the printer to it. Should work

Not 100% sure. I'd wait for someone else who knows to confirm this. I want to say no.

Any wireless router will work. I would get a Wireless N router and a Wireless N bridge as the signal strength on Wireless N will be better for a basement printer setup.

I would assume this also. You could also buy a wireless print server
