Im getting a new PSU, but I'm wondering will getting a PSU with EPS 12V 8-pin connector prolong the life of the PSU? Are future motherboards gonna take advantage of the 8pin 12v connector?

Thanx in Advance..

Current motherboards already do use the 8-pin EPS!

And like two PCI-e connectors, "cheaper" power supplies tend not to have an 8-pin EPS. So it's at the very least a good sign of decent quality. ;)

Cool I'll go with the 8 pin, but Can I use the 8pin psu in a 4 pin mobo? Or will i have to get a converter of some sort?

Thanx again for the quick response :D

Most PSU's that have an 8-pin also have a 4-pin or has an 8-pin that splits into two so it can be used in a board with a 4-pin connector.
