If figured this best fit in the modding community over the audio area. I need a speaker switch made up. I have Z-5300's and Zalman 5.1 Headphones, both use 3 sets of headphone jacks to hook into the PC. I currently have an MCE PC and my main rig and want to be able to switch between them (originally I had just wanted to switch between the two speaker sets on my main rig, but I figure if I'm going to have something custom made..) I basically want the switch to cross the two connections so I'd have two sets of inputs and two sets of outputs. I'd like to have headphone jacks and RCA jacks for each input/output (6rca / 3headhpone per input/output, or 24rca / 12 headphone total). If anyone can suggest a place that would be able to do something like that rather cheap, though I do want the unit to look as close as possible to a retail product.

Getting a Customer Speaker Switch made ?

hmm... getting something like that custom made might be expensive... especially if you just want one switch to change so many signals. You could probably do it with a bunch of smaller switches... but that kinda ruins the effect you're going for, I think.
Any reason why you don't just have your mce hooked to your speakers and your main rig connected to the headphones? Seems like an awful lot of switching.
Even if you connect all the grounds together, you'd still need a 48pole double throw switch. I don't think they make that. lol
Actually, probably your best bet is to get a reasonably priced surround amplifier, and use it as an input/output switch.
*edit* A question, did you want the rca jacks to be electrically isolated or connected to the 1/8" headphone jacks? Cause if they were connected, you'd *only* need a 24pole double throw switch.

Actually, you could just use two six pole double throw switches, one for selecting input, one for selecting output. Or use three DPDT latching relays for both the input and output - it would look clean with only two buttons. Use a common ground and this should be fairly simple/easy.
I could build something like that for you but cost would be entirely dependant on source material costs and the quality of finish you want. I would guess at $25 for the internal parts, plus cost of a housing, labor, and shipping. Any cosmetic improvements (like vandal switches or a fancy housing) would cost more.
