I ordered the parts for a new system two days ago from newegg, and I ordered a 2.8C and 512MB of GEIL golden dragon pc4000. Is it possible to get this to 3.5 ghz 1:1 on stock cooling? I did order some AS5 though. Also, if anyone owns a 2.8C at 3.5, could you tell me the voltage you're using?

All I know, is that I took the stock HSF and lapped it for about an hour and a half and applied AS5, and my temps only went down about 2-3C. At full load the proc hit about 57C. And I have it at 3001MHZ on an Abit IC7.

Nope never tried both of them...I just use fans thats all...is it hard to apply AC5?

Yeah, i have it way past 3.5,with your pc4000 ram you should be able to get to 250 1:1 no problem, and even with that, from my findings, tigh timings at 250 5:4 are better than having crappy timings at 250 1:1.
