im getting a radeon 9800xt today. i was wondering if i should do this. take my gpu block of my 5900 that i have, and put the 9800xt in there with the stock HS and just leave the gpu block kind of dangling next to it. and leave it like this for a few days. do u think i should do this, because i dont want to rip off the HS and void the warrenty finding out it is a bad card that needs an RMA or something.
 
shouldnt be a problem.... just as long as you dont kink the wc system.

If you have any chance of a fucked up card... its going to be AFTER you put the waterblock on it, not before.
