lol ya he's got a pretty pimp setup going on there! 2 295's and a 8800 isn't bad at all;)
 
He has expressed dis-interest in folding, leave it at that.

If he's expressed disinterest in it, I'd suspect he has an idea of what it is about; it's best not to assume.
 
That was actually a very informative thread. I posted as well. I now know what to do with my 8800GTX in my sig rig when I upgrade in two weeks :)

 
LOL, you guys crack me up.

I will likely put it on DC FS/FT if not used elsewhere with all the of the other non dedicated folding rigs I have to build in two weeks. Of course, I will be putting it up there at a tremendous discount. If I am feeling super generous (will depend on how much money my future client wants to pay me), I will give it away either in a raffle of sorts or some other method. However, Zero has first dibs if I just give it away.

Dont start with the word "raffle". It causes lots of harm to certain people.
 
So what would that system be capable of in terms of average PPD if he had all the GPUs and CPU cores cranking units?
 
His 8800GTX would EUE trying to fold with 200 series in the same box.

I was curious about that. If indeed that does happen, then I may stick it inside my WHS and see if I can get it to hold in there.

I've got duel GPUs going in WHS....... set and forget.
 
Thanks Kendrak. I thought it was you that got it up and running. I may just do with the 8800GTX in the sig rig as I'll be going GTX295's exclusively.

Xil was the one that gave me the all clear that it works.

You just have to set it up so you can log in and get it started. After installing VNC, there realy isn't a reason for a monitor. I still have a keyboard hooked up so I can type in the PW blind ;)
 
Yeah, that's me who tested it and gave the all clear signal... Initially, it didn't work at all but a new driver version seems to remove a OS lock (Since there is no WHS specific driver, I had to use the XP one which bombed out with a older version then fixed later with a new version).

Right now, I have a 9800GT and 8800GT running on my WHS box and there is no issues at all for over one month.
