Wouldn't it be a good promotional tool for GenMay to have an added title under the regular title for those people who has GenMay access?
Like so.

i believe this has been mentioned before, don't have a thread link though

It did get a title change at one point early on. After a few days it went back to the old system. The idea was tried and nixed.

Why is it nessicary? I really dont care if you are a GM subscriber, and if i was a subscriber im sure no one would care if i was or not, if it means that much to you put it in your sig :)

No point ot it, really...

If you really want people to know, put it in your sig.

What would this accomplish really? Do you think people will actually buy GM access just for the title? This is not a high school popularity contest, seriously.

Heh, what popularity would it gain? ;)

The OP meant it as an advertising method, but I don't think it would really work that well. People already know that GenMay is there, and if they want to post in it, they can pay for it. If they want to see what's there, they can read it without any sort of fee. It's a pretty fool-proof system at the moment.

I believe GM is advertised well enough already. It gets enough exposure between the daily question here, the announcement, and yes, that forum at the bottom of the list. Noting which members are GM enabled seems like a popularity contest, not an advertisement.

Apparently my question was taken the wrong way by some... or it wasn't read properly. I don't care which. But the question remains.
Personally, I couldn't care less about titles and other crap like it.

General Mayhem is already being promoted enough as it is. It wasn't ever intended to be a money-making endeavour.

Where is it being promoted? I surely haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else besides the announcement. Possibly once on the FP when it reopened.

Besdies, I thought this to be the Forum Help and Feedback section....

Oh, and where did I mention money?

Why advertise something that isn't designed to make money? That's just wasteful. :p

All the advertising thus far is word-of-mouth, and Kyle's word. That's all it really needs.

Like M11 said, this has been tried, and scrapped. It's a good idea in theory, but the final decision is Kyle's. :)

Lets leave it at that.
At least its some food for thought for Kyle and the Admins.
