Generic sound drivers?

If I install the MSI drivers on my mobo I get screen corrup[tion...no matter what version of them. SOOOOO..I need sound. Are there any generic sound drivers out there? The mobo is an MSI KM4M-V.

you've already installed the chipset and video drivers , prior to trying the sound ones. .correct?

what res/refresh are you running or trying to run?

I found sound drivers on VIA...works fine now. Nvidia vid drivers work fine too, but anything else and I am screwed . Guess my mobo is whacked...no biggie. Just a work rig.
