Can I please get some in resolving this. The machine I am using is an hp dc5700 SFF.

I got this error after scanning computer for spyware with malwarebytes.

I updated windows to xp pro sp from sp 2. I updated the audio, video and nic drivers.

I had the same thing and spent almost 2 days trying to fix it. Reverting back to SP2 made the message go away.

Went through and did additional scans, updated drivers, sfc /scannow , etc + everything I could think of.

Decided to throw SP3 back on there and the message came back.

Had to format and reload.

I don't understand the error message? Can you post screenshots or something?

Generic Host Process for Win32 Services has encountered a problem and needs to close svchost.exe

zAppName : svchost.exe szAppVer : 5.1.2600.0 szModName : unknown
szModVer : 0.0.0.0 offset : 00000000

There should be some watson dump locations in the event log. Can you put those on a share somewhere?
