So, I don't exactly understand how this "heat" system works. As far as I understand it, its a FS/FT rep system. Now, I have a few extra bundling keys from steam (a-la humble bundle) and I was wondering, Can I offer these for trade and get heat off it? I'm kinda hoping to get a bit of heat so that when I decide to break down and buy either a new graphics card or a full watercooling system, people don't think I'm a scammer.
 
Yes, as far as I know lots of people sell Steam codes.

So do I have to register for a heatware or something? And how should I accept payment? I know I have a paypal, but I don't know how that works.

heat can take a little to respond some times, But heat is wonderful. Heatware.com is the rep system of a few popular sites. I started my heat off by doing some local sales. and then with smaller items like game cd keys for 5-10 bucks.
 
Start with small items to build up heat, and give people good deals. Really its pretty hard because Hard is a place full of tech savvy and frugal shoppers and it seems everyone trying to sell wants close to retail while everyone trying to buy wants a super deal. Alot of times especially early on you are essentially going to barely make a buck to try to move some cheap items. Once you start to establish though I am sure it gets better.

Trying to use Hard to trade reminds me of just how unreal cheap places like newegg must get shipping.
 
Yes you can sell game serials and that's what I did to start off my reputation. Let people pay you with good payment services like PayPal or Amazon Payments, that way they have nothing to lose and will be more willing to deal with you.

check spam folder, email their support, etc.. may have got lost in system.
