• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.

General Mayhem Dissapeared?

Subscriptions aren't really a profit making venture, but do tend to cut down on troll activity. goa-tse drive-bys used to be a regular occurrence in the old days... I don't think we've had a single one since genmay re-opened as subscription only. ;)
...this is the deal for me. You get to converse in an open forum, with a reasonably select group of really annoying, er, intelligent folks....:D

It's all good fun; well worth the small price of admission, IMHO - B.B.S.

In all honesty though, who here isn't immune to goatscx yet?

So, i keep hearing that people who were here for the original genmay subforum have free access now... yet i don't see it. do i somehow not make the cutoff or something?

At this time, the [H] GenMay has been unlocked and all members who registered at the [H]ard|Forums in the year 2000 have been invited to enter it and post freely, albeit under much stricter guidelines.

 year 2000? :(

Back when genmay first returned, some people who have been members since 2000 were given free subscriptions. Unfortunately the time for that has long since passed, and you wouldn't have qualified anyway.

Yeah, it was a limited offer, you had to email Kyle the first 2 or 3 days it was open, I believe.

That never stopped Emmitt Brown from getting a free subscription.

and I hope that you never spend 30 years on one forum, or that we arent' still going to be typing away at browsers and .com's in 30 years.
