General Diag and Repair Software

Alright, so i just picked myself up a 250 gig WD passport and i wanted to put a few programs on there that allow me to diagnose and repair a wide variety of computer problems. So far i have CPUZ, HWMoniter, and something else by them. What other suggestions does everyone have. Remember i need to have the widest variety of tools to deal with as many problems as possible, all while trying to have them run off of the passport.
