General 9800 Pro Question

Hey,

I finally got the 9800 Pro installed on my main rig and was just wondering, are there anything that I can do so that I can get the best performance out of the card?

Any certain settings, tweaks, and etc.?

I have the 9800Pro BBA version.

make sure you have the latest drivers. overclock maybe?

What is an average OC on this video card?

Don't OC unless you want the warrenty gone.

XT speeds would probably be a bit above the reach of average, although that's a guess.

Thanks for the link but I doubt that I will be doing those voltage mods.

So running it at 395/700 is reasonable or no?

with stock i got my MSI up to almost 400 core, but i forget the memory...so anything 400 and under should be fine!

i wouldn't do the voltage mods unless you are a) brave or b) looking to buy a new video card soon

Fairly reasonable. Mine went to 415/712? stock, running hot as hell. I replaced the crappy OEM cooler with a Silencer and installed some copper ramsinks, max oc then was 450/730(iirc). I sold it last month and got a 6800OC from BB 2 days ago for $250
