I saw the Gene and I couldn't resist it.
Installation went fine and I was able to overclock a 3841A to 3952mhz(19x208) with just 1.275v (bios) on the core and everything else pretty much at auto. But I found out the NB chipset was running a little too hot for my taste (close to 65C @ full load !!!), so I returned the first one and exchange with another one. Here's where the oddity started to happen. The NB chipset seems to run alot cooler than the first one (~50C), but it refuses to boot up at 19x208 with 1.275v. Did I make a bad decision of returning the first one? or is something wrong with the cpu?
 
new board means new CPU mounting. Did you clean it well? And 65* doesn't sound that hot to me.

Of course! I'm not a noob.
What I can't figure out is that I have all the same hardware. The only difference is the serial number on the Gene.
 
seams like a bad decision, as its stated over the net that nb on gene runs hot.. im expecting mine next week and i've already planned the fan for nb
