Just wondering, in order to get more folders, why dot we put something in genmay? They're giving away a free weekend for genmay, why don't we make a thread/sticky about how to get a free life membership in there?

I want in. I understand what folding is, but I have no idea what else it entails, other than letting a program utilize idle power. Fill me in on how to get started, please?

Specs in the sig. Nothing amazing, but more than fold-worthy ;)

How about this, start a thread in the DC forum and we hook you right up. better you get your own thread for us to help you better. Think of it as a whole team being your personal helper.

that 9800 will get you 5000 or so Points per day (PPD), dunno what the processor might get.... probably 800 to 1000 PPD, so first we focus on the GPU, and then we can get you some off the CPU. and when you get your badge setup (about 6 or so hours after your first WU (work unit) turns in, enter in the thread to win a free machine

I wasn't too sure if I ought to post thought this over in genmay but may I suggest that something should be stated that nobody should feel compelled to fold 24/7. I didn't fold that much at first but I got addicted.

Most definitely 24/7 is not mandatory. I made this clear in my post in Vaulter's thread. Every little bit will help. It's what [H] does best :D
