wow, no matter how much i love ATIs products: nVidia is certainly delivering quite some punch for the CG community. their renderer sounds to be quite a beast - i wonder how big of a performance jump we're going to see. see here for details on it.

i'd love to see some scores on a dual opteron rig with 2 quadro 4400fx in SLI in comparison to the latest mentalRay releases in raytracing, global illumination and HDRI! man am i curious to see if nv can deliver performance comparable to brazil, Rman and MR with their first release... ok, forget RMan performance-wise ;)

hopefully ATI will have a similar SLI/maxx solution out soon... nothing heared of a renderer as of yet though.
