By the way my system specs are:
enermax 420 noisetaker psu
msi k8n neo 2 platinum ( latest bios )
athlon 64 3200+ winchester on coolermaster hyper 6
2x512 geil ultra x
pny 6800 gt 256mb
*i inserted my dimms on slots 1 and 2. dimm slots 3 and 4 wont let me boot into windows for some reason ( blue screen, on stock settings )
To start my overclock adventure, I changed my timings to a very conservative 2.5-3-3-7 1T, and set the voltage to 2.8v.
Then I also changed the HTT to 4x.
The Agressive Timings in Cell Menu were also disabled.
Nv ati speedup, and dynamic overclocking and spread spectrum, and cool n quiet were disabled also.
After this I booted into windows.
I used clockgen to change my multipliers down to 9x, and raised vcore
to 1.450 to make sure that cpu is not a bottleneck.
Afterwards, with clockgen, I increased my bus by 5mhz increments
until I lock up. Upon each 5mhz increase, I run super pi 2M test.
But sadly it locks up or reboots at 235mhz.
Additional note, even at 218fsb, I cannot complete a super pi 2M calculation
test. It blurts out an error about rounding.
after this I also tried 2.5-3-3-10 2T mem timings, I also changed dram
strength to weak.
I even increased vdimm to 2.85. But it was no help at all.
On my ocz pc 4200, I used 2.5-4-4-7 at 250 fsb on 9x multiplier
with no problems, prime stable overnight.
I hope someone can enlighten me.
Does this mean that not all geil ultra X's are tccd?
