hello,

i have a geforce mx4000 128mb card and im trying to play dues ex 2 and it tells me i need pixel shader 1.1, does anyone else have this problem.

download the latest drivers and get the latest patches.
and the geforce mx4000 does not support pixel shaders at all.

You need a different video card. I think that the GeForce 4 Ti series supports it, but the MX series does not have pixel shaders I believe.

yea you need at least a geforce 3/radeon 8500/9X00.
the geforce 4MX is basicly a souped up gf2.

I agree with the others. The GF4 MX4000 lacks any hardware support whatsoever for DX8.1-compliant vertex and pixel shaders, since it's only a DX7-generation chip to begin with. You'll need full hardware support for DX8.1 in order to even play DeusEX 2 at all. And though the GF3 and GF4 Ti series will play those games at mediocre framerates, now is clearly the time to upgrade that MX4000 to a FX5900 or an R9800Pro.

you've heard it...the mx4000 isn't even as good as the mx440...don't worry, i learned that the hard way, too....
