GeForce GO Drivers Needed!

Hi all,

I'm working on a newer notebook that a friend of mine had purchased through the bargain finder.....

He recieved no CD's or manuals or any information on the system. I've been by the manufacturers website but all they do is link you to designer websites. Since Nvidia does not design the drivers for the GeForce Go series they are of no use to me.

The notebook sports a GeForce4 Go 440 128MB Video card and I do have drivers installed for it using some hacked drivers off of guru3d.com. The problem though is that the card reads as a GeForce FX Go 5200 in the device manager and states that its really a 440 GO Geforce4 in the Nvidia Control pannel.

The driver version is 44.77 and I would like to find some real reference drivers possibly newer. Can some one point me the direction of some ledgit drivers for this card. I've spent the last 24 hours looking for them and have yet to locate any.

Like I said in my post earlier.... NVIDIA DOSEN'T MAKE GO DRIVERS!

It just states to visit the notebook manufacturers website. When I go to Evesham and try to download the Nvidia drivers it just links me back to www.nvidia.com which tells me to go to the manufacturer.

quoted, because it's already answered correctly. :p

The Go parts just use the regular drivers. I use the 53.03 drivers with my GF4 4200 Go and I used to install the older regular Detonators with my old GF4 Go. Just select the closest driver (GF4 MX440 in your case) and ignore the warning.

The only problem you may have is if you have an unusual screen resolution. There are nv_disp.inf patches you can download in that case. If you have a 1024x768 or 1600x1200 screen, the regular drivers work fine.
